The Denver City Council will soon take a final vote to ban all flavored tobacco products, including menthol cigarettes and flavored dip, for adults 21+. This is adult prohibition, plain and simple. This makes no sense — the City Council may ban products deemed appropriate for the protection of public health by the FDA and smokeless products.
Kids should not have access to tobacco or alcohol products—that’s why the legal age of purchase is 21. And these products are already heavily regulated. If the Denver City Council bans flavored tobacco for adults, what will they ban next?
